I beg to differ, sir. It’s not the guns. It’s bad actors (no pun intended) who wield them. My guns have never done anything I didn’t make them do. And yes, I’ve gone through a lot of training and licensing. Responsible owners like me aren’t the ones on the evening news.

I don’t know about “conventional wisdom,” but I think about Beto’s loss to Cruz a few years ago. Cruz’ secret weapon, IMHO, was in voters in rural districts. For esp. these districts, I fear the question will be whether the status quo has harmed them enough for them to vote in a Black firebrand.
