Had a little Valentines morning date with my girl. Went out for breakfast, and then we went to Barnes and Noble and picked out 3 books for each other (mine are below). We also got a car wash because it's finally warm enough to do so! Tonight, I am making her dinner! ❤️

Ugh, I have developed arthritis in my pinky finger. This is more painful than I anticipated it to be!

1. Pam Bondi is not an old-looking 40 something. She is 60, and that blows my mind! She is also a vile human being.
2. I hate working with men in education who voted for the orange. It's gross.
3. I love the song "How Bad Do You Want Me", but all I hear is Peter Griffin.

Took part in a goal setting meeting at my church on Saturday as I am part of the leadership team as the leader of children education in the church. We determined that we want to focus on Social Awareness and Calls to Action (ICE, marches, safety, etc.) as one of our goals.

I am watching Curling on Peacock (NO idea what the rules are, but I'm into it!) I noticed they are really pushing Tik Tok as a safe app for teens and people to use. I wish they would stop trying to make Tik Tok a big thing now that it's just right wing propaganda.

It was 90s day at school! Pretty sure I nailed it with the very wide leg jeans (which are back in style), the Space Jam shirt with a long sleeve shirt under, and a scrunchie! As one of my students told me, "Your outfit is tough!" I told them that kids dressed like this when I was in middle school.

I am having so much fun reading all of your thoughts on the Opalite MV. The video and analysis have given me so much to laugh at today. Also, I really like the brunette hair, and I feel like that is her actual hair. I also liked that it wasn't her puffy WAGlor face we have been seeing so often.

I am working VERY hard at breaking my students' habit of needing constant reassurance, constant validation, and constant hand holding when solving problems in class (I teach math). I feel so bad saying, "I can't help you", but this is a skill they need. Trying to break the learned helplessness.

I got really nostalgic for my old Live Journal last night. Wish I still could access that. For awhile, my friends and I were really into Blurty. Such fond (and sometimes mortifying) memories.

If you are someone struggling with religion after feeling left behind or that it's been so bastardized/weaponized, I recommend reading "Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds" by John Fugelsang.

This class that I am currently teaching is really terrible some days. Today is one of those days. I even took down a poster during this class that said, "I think I heard you say 'That's so gay'" and it gave other words to say instead. They were making a mockery of it, so I took it down. So pissed rn

I just had my mind blown. The actress who plays Lizzie McGuire's mom (Hailee Todd) also played Blanche Devereaux's niece in The Golden Girls. AND, Hailee Todd's real life mother played Grandma Yetta on The Nanny! All of these years, as a fan of all three shows, I never knew any of this! 🤯

One thing I love about the Milwaukee Brewers is how inclusive they are within the community. This a female, LGBTQ, and Black owned business they are highlighting. I had not heard of this cafe, but I am excited to try it out in the next week or so.
