I really enjoyed the Monk & Robot books! I discovered Becky Chambers last year and she's quickly become one of my favorites. She describes worlds and characters in a way that makes my heart hurt for how much I want to live there.

@naominovik.bsky.social’s Scholomance series is like if Hogwarts was actively, openly trying to kill its students, and it’s about (among other things) the school system we funnel kids through, what it’s actually for, and who it actually serves. So so so good.
