If there are, would they learn them or does McSweeney know better?

Yep, and I bet the proportion of "affordable" houses in the development was reduced because otherwise the development is uneconomical, because nobody thought to dig out a calculator when they were making the planning application!

Where I am there are plenty of houses going up, but none that anyone local could ever afford. Until the developments include genuinely affordable or social rent housing the crisis isn't going away. But that would upset the developers, so it won't ever happen will it.

What are the odds on banning ear defenders being the big announcement in the next government relaunch?

Hard agree.

I would hope that without McSweeney, he'd stop making stupid mistakes. But that in itself shows up how weak a leader he is.

I think you're probably right, and all of his own making. If he'd had the balls or self-knowledge to ditch McSweeney earlier, I think he'd have a chance of turning it round (although in itself that shows up his utter lack of principles) but its almost certainly too late for him now.

Absolutely. LoC parties need to work together to beat Herr Nigel. The stakes are too high for factionalism to be allowed to ruin us all.

I'd be willing to keep Starmer so long as McSweeney goes. While he's still in charge, Labour (and the entire country) will keep hurtling head first towards disaster.

It's also alienated left leaning voters who may have left their vote to Labour, but certainly won't be doing it again.
