It's unfortunate that V became a such a cringe figure because of the kind of people that picked him up. I watched V for Vendetta this weekend after probably a decade and a half and it's still VERY good. Especially this speech.

This is 1000% true. I remember vididly that for our end of the year trip in the 6th grade we were told not to bring any CDs with curse words. Right when I walked into the park, the 4th graders had taken over the pavillion and were playing an unedited version of this.
