Never before in my life have I felt so much warmth and affection for NYC 😂

Well done.

You can tell that watching Zohran Mamdani rise has sparked hope at a time when it feels dark. There has been an unapologetic stance, grassroots fire, and refusal to play small. That’s the kind of leadership people feel they deserve.

Mazal tov, Zohran.

With this context, the Telegraph's headline lends itself to being inflammatory by describing the reason for the arrest as specifically due to wearing a Star of David.

The interview itself is something to reflect and respond to separately. The outcome of the review will be welcome.

When there are more Christian Zionists than there are Jewish Zionists, the phrase "Free Britain from jewish supremacy," is a choice.

I, for one, would love just *one* day without the mention of Jews or Muslims on here in the pejorative, hateful or a derogatory way. Nor philosemitism.

Several things are true.

Maccabi Tel Aviv's ultras are known for racism and violence. This is the concern.

Using MTA issue, Zarah voiced a view unrelated to the above to make it about Israel. Was it necessary?

A senior journalist said Zarah, a British citizen, should be deported. This is racist.

The amount of indirect Islamophobia from Jewish and non-Jewish people, and anti-Jewish comments from non-Jewish people in response to the Maccabi Tel Aviv ban should have surprised me. Yet, of course, it did not.

The re-emerging clarity is that my status as a Jewish person has more protection and focus for that protection than my status as a Black person.

I can not support the presence of a team or people who chant "death to Jews." In the same vein, I can not support the presence of a team or people who chant "death to Arabs."

That is my position as a Black-Jewish person.

Let us break down what may have affected the decision about Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

They are known for using racist slurs towards Israeli-Arab players.

The New Israel Fund found MTA fans had the second-highest number of documented racist incidents in the 2022-23 season.
I am reading the conflation of "Jewish people" with an Israeli football team with interest.

On one hand, non-Jews are asked not to do it. Then, some Jewish people do it. This becomes a confusing cycle. If I were a non-Jew, I would be confused.

There is something beautiful about words so simple they can touch your heart and mind, sparking the light that people want to guide them to a better society.

No slogans, no phrases, just real connection; that is what many people will take away in under 2 minutes.

How devastating to hear of D’Angelo’s passing at just 51. A generational talent, gone too soon. My heart aches most for his son who has lost both parents in six months which is unimaginable grief. May he be held in love.

It is deeply moving to see Israelis and Palestinians returning to loved ones. After deep trauma, the strength to rebuild is sacred. Their hope, joy, and right to heal must not be stolen by those who directly or indirectly seek to disrupt this. Let them live, love, and rise again.

The term “Zio,” is a pejorative brought into being by former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke. It is often used by white supremacists as a code for "Jews."

It is not a word that should or can be co-opted for any good. With it's origin, why use it?

Some people are reacting to the Israel-Hamas ceasefire like peace is a threat to their narrative.
If the first instinct is to undermine what could be, ask yourself: Do you want endless war? It isn't the solution yet it could be a start. Peace requires courage. Cynicism is easy.
