come to think, i guess slitterhead reminded me how much i dislike voice-acted banter. cute lil grunts on occasion are fine, but having the player character constantly mutter full sentences about innocuous discoveries tends to get on my nerves so fast

sieglinde was modeled after hermione, the rotating stairs in the duke's archives were explicitly based on hogwarts' stairs, his fascination with magical academies probably is too... he hasn't mentioned harry potter as much in recent years, so hopefully he jumped ship lol, but there's always One Fear

solid game if you're looking for something outside the norm. the possession and blood mechanics give it a really fun balance of strategy and skill, even if the tight AA budget held it back in terms of variety. i wouldn't mind seeing more games take huge risks like this.
