also even for the workhorse non-display fonts, fontworks ones are so convenient because their latin sets don't look like fucking ass so you can actually use them for localizations and not have it look wonky as hell. end of an era honestly

to clarify, the licenses that they stopped offering are specifically for embedding fonts in apps/video games, and does not affect anime as far as i know (or, as it turns out, uses of these fonts in apps/games in non-dynamic settings, e.g. rasterized text for buttons?)
