fontworks fonts are ubiquitous if you've played a video game or watched an anime coming out of japan in basically the past couple of decades (including my personal favorite (?), FOT Comet Std B), so huge news if things continue as-is
The Japanese game development scene might have a major font shakeup in 2026, as FontWorks gradually ceases their LETS game font licensing for companies in Japan:
