Lots of rambling today but I also like the idea that once tenna Calms Down and doesn’t feel like he has to keep up appearances he shrinks down a bit. Like his normal height without trying to “be big” is shorter than how we normally see him. I just think it fits his character well

I don’t mind mettatenna in general but there’s a LOT of fun potential in the vein of “I am once again falling in love with someone I shouldn’t” with tenna falling in love with a lightener that u don’t see often.

Kinda love the new info from the newsletter because I’ve thought tenna has kinda always needed a character beat that makes him look pretty selfish or bad (that’s where the sauce is) BUT… two things come to mind…

[PART 2/3] Hands On- #spamtenna post-canon comic, some ways down the line after making peace but before doing much beyond that. An e-mail gets to recognize himself and a TV gets to recognize the other.

Continuation of the quoted post. Fifth page of a comic titled "Hands on" featuring the Spamtenna pairing (Spamton and Tenna) from Deltarune, implied to take place in the future post-canon. Tenna is looking flustered but continues his explanation about using oil in mechanical joints by saying - "that should just do the trick, then! If I went too long without renewing mine, it made doing all the Physical Challenges a real... ha.. haha..". As he imagines himself during his TV Time era, bent forward and a hand on his hip, clearly in pain from his own joint issues, his mood turns sour. The next panel shows Tenna's screen filled with static as he thinks "ohhh I'm getting so old". Unbeknownst to him, Spamton is also still having his crisis because of reminiscing about his own younger self, a glitching thought bubble showing nothing but static. In the following panel, Spamton violently shakes himself out of the thought process as if shaking water out of his hair, the space around his head glitching out in the process. This snaps Tenna back to reality as well and he startles slightly as Spamton suddenly gets to his feet and responds - "well, not like and subscribe I could have found any of that liquid gold in the trash!" and laughs. This gives Tenna an idea, and he perks up with an "oh!". Sixth page of the Spamtenna comic continuing from the previous image. Tenna, excited at his own idea, shouts "fear not, my little mailman, because I do have some in my room, haha!" and spontaneously grabs Spamton around his middle, yanking him up into the air while Spamton curses in surprise. The next panel shows Tenna carrying Spamton off the balcony and down the stairs, Spamton's cigarette and lighter left behind on the floor. He looks back at them longingly thinking "my blank space", the blank space implying a three letter word. The next panels show a gradual transition from the dark of the outside to the warm glow of Tenna's room. Spamton is seated on the table, looking down at his trembling injured hand and calling a quiet "F1". Tenna is sitting next to Spamton at his desk chair, contemplating the label of the oil bottle he's picked up. Seventh page of the Spamtenna comic continuing from the previous image. As Spamton's little mini angel version of himself heals his hand for a single health point, Tenna turns to him sheepishly and says - "this might be just a pinch too heavy duty for you, but if we only use a little bit..?" Spamton responding with "sure. it can't it hurts! more than it already dose". With this permission, Tenna says "Marvelous! Let's keep you still just a moment, then.." and gently takes Spamton's injured hand in one of his, tilting it up to the light and carefully pressing the nozzle of the oil bottle to one of the thumb joints. He continues on to another joint successfully, but on the third one Spamton's hand twitches involuntarily and Tenna goes "oopsie daisy!" as he lets a bit too much of the oil escape the nozzle, which leaks over Spamton's hand. Spamton immediately starts laughing and makes fun of Tenna with a joking innuendo- "having some early maturity debt problems, boob tube?". Tenna, surprised and instantly flustered at the implication, shouts "what - SPAMMY! Shut up!" while accidentally clenching his grip on the oil bottle with all his strength, this causing the nozzle to violently erupt with excess oil. As Spamton keeps laughing, Tenna becomes embarrassed and lets out a quiet "oh" as he notices that his hand is now covered in dripping oil. Eighth page of the Spamtenna comic continuing from the previous image. It's Spamton's turn to be flustered, instantly ceasing laughter and snapping his mouth shut with a clack as Tenna, embarassed and moody over his mistake and with static and a blush filling his screen, leans his head fully on Spamton's shoulder, turning the scene much more intimate and familiar than expected. Tenna proceeds to whine, nuzzling even further into Spamton's shoulder - "ugh, can you help me clean this up, please?" while Spamton seems to be having trouble staying unaffected, a bright blush beginning to spread over his face. He accidentally lets slip the beginning half of an advertising quote - "anything for your" and instantly freezes up at how forward that sounds relative to their currently strictly friends relationship. Spamton claps his good hand over his mouth and looks up at Tenna in fear of having overstepped, thinking "too much!" as the tv darkener rises up in surprise, looming over the puppet. Tenna lets out an aborted "any" followed by a brief pause as he processes it, then continues with "say that again, please.." as he crowds into Spamton's space, blushing bright and taking hold of Spamton's hands to bring them out of his defensive gesture. Somewhere during this moment the oil bottle has been dropped, forgotten. Spamton, not expecting Tenna's enthusiastic reaction, thinks "what what what", flustering even further.

I saw someone else point this out on Twitter, but genuinely spamton is great for Tenna in a way that feels like it finalizes his arc better. It’s nice that ten gets to live with MTT now, but it really feels like kicking the problem down the road rather than outright addressing it
