4 mile circuit around Hanbury including Hanbury Hall - always impressed with the ancient Oaks and even those way past their sell by date left for the invertebrates. Quiet bird wise - 2 Yellowhammer, Stonechat, Red Kite, singing Mistle Thrush main highlights. #worcsbirds

A pleasant 7 mile walk in the Cotswolds this morning from Stanton to Snowshill. Some snow on the top but more interesting a covey of Grey Partridge from game cover so probably bred for the table. Several Red Kite, wheeze of Brambling heard and good numbers of winter Thrushes. #ukbirding

Merlin got it right! 😂 Just used it on the back end of three Golden Plover flying over fields calling just outside Chaddesley Woods. A new tick for me for that area #worcsbirds

Seeing a lot of fields with what I suspected are cover crops and using the magic of Google it’s White Mustard, planted as a ‘green manure’. This field just outside Chaddesley Woods. The Meadow Pipits and Skylarks seem to love it
