They said their bill would be $4000/month for their small family. $2000 is a drop in the bucket

Yes, it certainly shows his attitude towards it. Just say whatever sounds good.

It wouldn't even make a small dent in a $50K+ bill for the year!

3/What I have a hard time understanding is why many GOP think Trump tells the truth. He seems so open about being willing to lie (see above). 2-3 decades ago GOP would frequently say that "all politicians lie" & "you can't trust any politician." How did they go from that to this?

2/ An example: Trump recently got his worst poll numbers, & within a week posted about having the "highest poll numbers of my political career." He knows polls are low (after a record long shutdown, Epstein drama, tariff woes, etc.), but lies to make the narrative more favorable.

It's MAGA's own speculation that the true intent behind the Dem's military video was to get the military to disobey "legal" orders from Trump that MAGA is angry about, even though that is not what the video said. Without assuming bad motives, nothing noteworthy really happened.

The same people who feared the Covid vaccine was a government ploy to install trackers in our bodies, somehow cheered DOGE gathering private, confidential records and PII on US citizens. Something much more effective and useable by a controlling government than a tracking device would ever be.

3/DOGE impact? Federal spending is $500 billion higher than 2024, but by cutting USAID, hundreds of thousands of kids have died with many more expected in coming years. Was it worth it?

2/DOGE impact? This shows that Federal expenditures in 2025 are up about $500 billion compared to the same time in 2024.

6/I've personally had multiple friends tell me they are worried about speaking out because it might impact their jobs. He uses the power of his position & the Government to suppress speech he doesn't like in violation of the Constitution. Few things would've disturbed the founding fathers more.

5/If DACA recipients post something he doesn't like on social media, he revokes their protected status. If other countries say things he doesn't like, he cuts off trade negotiations & imposes more tariffs. I've seen stories of innocent old ladies afraid to speak out for fear he might come after them

4/If law firms say things he doesn't like, he revokes security clearances, so they cannot perform their jobs. If colleges say things he doesn't like, he cancels funding. If students say things he doesn't like, he revokes student visas.

3/If political opponents say anything he doesn't like, he attacks them, accuses, instructs DOJ to investigate, & now says their speech is "punishable by death"?!! If American companies say things he doesn't like, he threatens to revoke broadcasting licenses, impose tariffs, not approve mergers, etc.
