Attorney striving to be data driven and unbiased. I believe truth is more important than my opinion being right.
3/What I have a hard time understanding is why many GOP think Trump tells the truth. He seems so open about being willing to lie (see above). 2-3 decades ago GOP would frequently say that "all politicians lie" & "you can't trust any politician." How did they go from that to this?

2/ An example: Trump recently got his worst poll numbers, & within a week posted about having the "highest poll numbers of my political career." He knows polls are low (after a record long shutdown, Epstein drama, tariff woes, etc.), but lies to make the narrative more favorable.

🧵1/"You say things sometimes in a campaign."

This encapsulates Trump's approach. He doesn't really believe all the things he says. He just says whatever he thinks will help him politically or set the narrative he wants.

It's MAGA's own speculation that the true intent behind the Dem's military video was to get the military to disobey "legal" orders from Trump that MAGA is angry about, even though that is not what the video said. Without assuming bad motives, nothing noteworthy really happened.

1/#DOGE experiment is over. Did we get anything more significant than some chaotic months, hundreds of thousands of children dying, and more gov spending? Federal spending is up almost $500 Billion vs. 2024. National debt has increased about $2 trillion since Trump took office.

5/Trump made it clear he didn't want the files released. When he couldn't stop it, he called them a "hoax" & posts about investigating Clinton? Why now? If a "hoax," why bother? Not because of evidence, but to deflect. Any President abusing the government in this self-serving way is heartbreaking!
November 15, 2025 at 7:27 AM
4/If there were evidence in the Epstein files to prosecute Bill Clinton, you don't think they would've already jumped at the chance earlier? You think the 1st time anyone at DOJ thought to investigate whether they could prosecute Clinton based on Epstein files was Nov 14, 2025 when Trump posted?
November 15, 2025 at 7:27 AM
3/What Trump is doing here is worse than a fishing expedition, because he already knows there is not enough evidence to prosecute these people! Patel, Bongino, & Bondi promised to go through the Epstein files & bring the evildoers to justice. If they could have prosecuted Bill, they would have!

1/This is what weaponization of the government really looks like. I support holding anyone accountable Dem or GOP for any sexual abuse they were involved with. But I'm not okay with any President of either party trying to cover up or deflect from a story by weaponizing the government against others.

For context, did you notice the question Epstein is responding to here is specifically a question about Trump's "attitude towards women"?

To which he responds: "I have met some very bad people. None as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body."

Fair enough, but someone should have a serious conversation with the Democratic strategists in charge of gathering oppo on Trump who never thought to check whether the Epstein estate might have any dirt on Trump leading into the election. Could've been a very different election.

Trump has a long list of things he thinks nobody knows:

6) Democrats could benefit the most if SCOTUS says a President can bypass Congress & unilaterally impose taxes. The next Dem Pres could increase corporate taxes on a whim. They could even target conservative companies, e.g. by imposing huge tariffs on materials needed by Tesla.
November 11, 2025 at 1:05 AM
5) Traditionally, Democrats favored higher taxes on corporations, while Republicans favored lower tax rates. But in this case, most Democrats oppose Trump’s tax-increase tariffs, while many Republicans support the tariffs. (This is one of the reasons the world feels upsidedown.)
November 11, 2025 at 1:05 AM
3) Because tarrifs are paid by companies receiving goods, they are a corporate tax.

4) Taxing power was given to Congress in the Constitution. The Founders would've hated a Pres acting like a king by bypassing Congress & unilaterally imposing taxes on companies."No taxation without representation!"
November 11, 2025 at 1:05 AM
SCOTUS heard oral arguments re Trump’s tariffs on Nov. 5.

Some Facts and Thoughts:

1) Tariffs are a tax. The definition is literally “a tax imposed on imported goods.”

2) The tax is paid by the company receiving imported goods. The company has to pay the tariff at the port to receive the goods

A lot of posts try to explain why the other party is doing something. "This is why Democrats/Republicans did X" or "They're just trying to . . ." Everyone should react to posts like this with extreme skepticism. Apply Hanlon's Razor instead.
