Before transitioning, I used to think that people not seeing you was because they just hadn't been exposed, but no, what is actually happening is that people are erasing you in their minds, because the concept of you is too disturbing.

People at a very deep level, think of gender as encoded in us on a cellular or spiritual level. That's why people grasp the idea of, "trans men are men and trans women are women" because it's just moving where gender exists from the body surface to the mind or spirit.

The thing that women don't often understand, is that being raised as a girl, not allowed to climb trees, for instance, means that gender identity becomes a crucial component of encouraging girls that they can do something.

This is why some féminist books like "girls can do this or that too !" "Princess can fart !" are so boring sometimes, because they repeat the binary thing with "girls" an "women" in the main title instead of neutralizing gender. As if "all children can climb a tree/fart" as title could be insulting
A young pre-trans girl will be punished to not play with dolls, but if raised in a feminist environment, a young pre-trans boy may be allowed to climb trees, but must do so in a way by declaring their girlhood. It's not a neutral act. Girlhood is brought into everything.

C'est vrai que j'étais en train d'y réfléchir, mais je n'ai pas fréquenté de groupe militants trans IRL qui me semblent un tant soit peu accueillant pour les NB, les racisés·es, les prolos et/ou les transmascs.

Transmasculine people often feel guilty about being "included" with the category of woman when trans women are excluded. Your instinct will be to apologize. You do not need to apologize for being coerced into de-transitioning.
