So when republican senators were messaging the chief insurrectionist on 1/6 it’s a crime and politicization of the justice system to investigate them and see what they were saying ? But then it is okay to go after Kelly for pointing out the law regarding illegal orders. Hard to reconcile.

As with all wars like this - where the leaders believe their own propaganda - they will expect Venezuela to roll over and support the regime change. They won’t even though maduro is unpopular and a dictator. Lots of innocent people will die though and it will cost 1000x what they expect.

All this does is erode public confidence in institutions. Thinking people know that those with integrity are no longer in charge. Those that didn’t trust the science are further empowered to spew idiocy.

Truthfully Biden and Obama both aggressively pursued migrants who had committed serious crimes in the US - a robust program successfully has done this for a generation. It takes time and effort. It’s easy to have the new brown shirts raid construction sites to find good people working hard.

The most terrible part about the game, and I only watched the third period - it was clear that in every contested situation the Sabres lost - like they gave up when Utah tied it one minute into the period. They need fight and guts - they have talent. Ellis is good but weak over the shoulders.

Maybe during his confirmation some of the senators (many of who are still in the senate) should have tested his strike zone with questions about how he would rule. Maybe they should have read his opinions before he came to the bench which laid out what we are seeing now, esp on the voting rights act

What are they fundraising for? Who donated the trip? What were they buying? Is this an official White House event or just adjacent? Was the invitation from the family company or did it reference the presidency? Must be nice to control the agencies that could investigate. Where Is the press?
