Today I joined residents in the Fillmore to help serve Thanksgiving dinner in honor of community leader Carmen Johnson.
For years Mrs. Johnson served Thanksgiving dinner for the community, and in recognition Mayor Daniel Lurie provided a Certificate of Honor in her memory.

Congratulations to Nihonmachi Little Friends on 50 years in Japantown of providing a bilingual and multicultural early-childhood education rooted in Japantown’s history and community activism.
