Supervisor of San Francisco. District 5.
Just last week, I alongside Supervisors Sauter, Sherrill, and Dorsey narrowly defeated a measure that pushed a "misguided belief that small businesses can only be saved by more red tape"

Small businesses deserve better.

Running a small business in S.F. just got a little easier. Let’s keep it that way
OPINION: Dislodging one nonsensical rule grafted onto San Francisco’s permitting process won’t magically fix its small-business climate overnight. But it’s a start, Emily Hoeven writes.

1. Create incentives to build more 2 and 3 bedroom units for families (Supervisors Sherrill and Sauter)

2. Block amendments that would reduce housing capacity

3. Pass some of the states strongest tenant protections (Supervisor Chen)

Most importantly, the individual previously staying at the site accepted city services and accepted shelter services. A big thank you to the Department of Emergency Management, Public Works, and Northern Station for their quick coordination and compassionate dedication to those most in need.

Till the end, she was fighting for all of us.

Alice Wong was one of those heroes. MacArthur Fellow. Founder of Disability Visibility Project. Crips for eSims for Gaza. Author of Year of the Tiger

I had the honor of meeting her several times this year, the last was a couple days before election day as she cast her vote for Prop 50 at City Hall.

We didn't discuss politics or activism - we bonded over a shared love of Star Wars and the impact it had on both of our lives.

The resonance of stories of heroes who overcome great adversity, to fight against the odds, in pursuit of justice.
