Gusty overnight 30-50 mph chinook winds (shown below) kept our lows in the low 50s across most of the metro area overnight…that’s our average *high* for this time of year!

🌤️ Warm and dry again, but a touch cooler with a high near 70° in Denver, still nearly 20° above average for mid-November. Winds will be light with high clouds.

🏈 Clouds increase tomorrow with a high near 70°, with mountain snow returning tomorrow night.

Today's furcast pet is Pinky, a mellow girl with the gentlest spirit. She absolutely loves being pet and will soak up all the affection. When she’s out and about, she becomes a *big-time sniffer*, exploring the world one scent at a time.

Weather looks low impact for the Broncos on Sunday...warm with a few clouds. Any rain would hold off until after the game.

Go Broncos!

Odds for Denver snow next Wednesday/Thursday are going down...but stay tuned.

Still a shot next week, and an overall favorable pattern over the next 10-20 days.

Solid hit of mountain snow late Sunday/early Monday. Quick hitter, but 4-8"+ possible above 9k feet in the San Juans/West Elks. Badly needed!

10-20 mph gusts, occasionally a tad higher around the grass fire near Superior. Very dry though. 1-2 acres per BSCO.

Warmer in Denver than Orlando, Jacksonville, San Diego, and Las Vegas today.

Happy July one billionth

Another San Diego-like day in Denver. 77° so far (record is 79°). Again. In mid-November.

5th-driest October 1-Nov. 13 on record for Denver.

First time since 2016 that Denver hasn't had a drop of rain or a single snowflake over the first two weeks of November. 15th time on record (out of 153 years).

This'll safely end up as a top-10 warmest start to November on record after this weekend as well.

Denver now officially with a top-10 latest first snow on record as of today. And we're a lock to finish top-5 as well.

🌤️ Another warm, dry day, with a high in the mid-70s in Denver (record: 79°), a good 20° above average. A few high clouds and a bit of a breeze, otherwise quiet.

🌥️A bit cooler this weekend, with mountain snow returning Sunday and a few Denver showers late Sunday night.

Euro/Euro AI stronger/further north, GFS weaker/further south for mid-next week. Both probably too far south for a bigger storm. But probably (temps pending?) close enough to get us on the board.

Should get a bit more clarity this weekend. But my suspicion is we see at least a bit of metro area snow sometime mid-late next week. Probably won't be much, though.

Models still all over the board on next week. But, doesn't look like a big snow in Denver if we get on the board (too far south/weak). But still worth a watch for potentially our first snow of the season (hence the orange box).

And a notable pattern flip after.

Pretty good hit of mountain snow likely for the Sunday night, especially for the San Juans/West Elks/Sangres. 6"+ possible above 9-10k feet.

Overall good looking pattern for mountain snow through the end of November. Fingers crossed!

Today's furcast comes from Sagie Grace!

She's a sweet, playful, and affectionate 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who lights up every room she enters. She may thrive with another playful dog, and she’s been housetrained before.

If all this warm and dry November weather has you thinking back to October when there was quite a bit more happening, our monthly summary is for you. Including the big southwest rainstorm and flood, a lack of mountain snow, and more warmth on the Plains:

And I had a subpar joke ready to roll, too.
Poor @bianchiweather.bsky.social. Dude gets 60 seconds for weather and spent 45 seconds fishing his microphone out of his drawers.

Colorado statewide snowpack now tied for the worst season-to-date on record. Next week's pattern flip can't come soon enough!

🌡️ Record heat? Another very warm mid-November day today, with a high near our daily record high of 75° in Denver (1999). Mostly sunny and a bit breezy, especially in the foothills (30-40 mph gusts there).

🌤️ Breezy and warm tomorrow before a slight weekend cooldown.

Sure it’s faint even east of Denver and not nearly as intense as last night’s show, but it’s relatively rare to see even these lights in Colorado.

Catch them while you can (next few hours)!
