Living in the Berkshires when not on the road in our camper, Vinny Van Go
The sun put on quite a show on Saturday morning. This was the apocalyptic scene from my bedroom window. Glad I’m not a sailor.

My #vegan salted maple ginger pie, a @nytimes.com recipe, took its place on the #thanksgiving dessert table last night. It was a hit! Not a lot leftover; everyone (omnivores included) loved it. First time using a springform pan. Gingersnap crust was easy. Secret ingredient: Japanese sweet potato.

#tgiCorgi Pericles enjoyed another day in #hudsonny doing what one does in Hudson: scouting the antiques markets and going out for a nice meal. He was overjoyed to find that the new-ish Yummy Kitchen is dog-friendly—at least if you’re a #corgi

In today’s #veggiegarden news, we #harvested the last of the #purplecabbage as weather in the #berkshires continues to fall. We need to find recipes beyond our favorite stir fry and Asian slaw dishes!

We’ve had light snow all week in the #berkshires yet the #veggiegarden keeps on growing. With this late-season #harvest we’re making zhoug, parsley pesto, sauté rainbow chard & kale Caesar salad to go with the lettuces still in the #garden

Saw this in the freezer dept of our local supermarket. What fresh hell is this? How is a food "GLP-1 Friendly" beyond smaller portions? Is this just another excuse to charge more for less? Please fill me in.

Came home to find my man enraged. His nice Sunday at home listening to mellow music on Pandora was jolted when he heard an ICE recruitment ad shouting that our cities are dangerous, overrun by "illegals." I recognize the company operates in capitalism but this is too much. Cancelled our subscription

And still more cause for celebration. It does feel like the tide is turning. We must stop the thugs in power and hold their racist rapist grifter master accountable.

Reasons to Be Cheerful: Part 5
We can't get complacent, and we can't lose sight of all the terrible stuff this misAdminstration is doing, and we can't let Faux-King Grifter Pedo in Chief off the hook from his Epstein crimes, but we can celebrate Tuesday's nationwide victories across the board.

There was cause for cheer across the nation yesterday, a bright moment in these dark times. "Pureval, a Democrat, trounced Cory Bowman, securing an early and humiliating lead over the Republican challenger." Final tally: Pureval 78% with 51,698 votes; JD Vance's brother 22%, with just 14,383 votes.
