I'd like for them to make a Gaiden about him so we could get a game where he's playable, but not in prison for half of it.

Though knowing RGG, the Gaiden would expand a prison arc and somehow make it more enjoyable than the rest of the game.

That being said: changing Hamazaki would be like taking away Majima's aquiline nose. It's part of who he is.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 got its premier and a few iconic characters got redesigned, honestly all for the worse.

I agree, the original designs gave them such incredible character. The new designs really normalize the characters and make them unremarkable to look at.

Hamazaki was impossible to mistake. Now he looks so boring, I thought he was Takashima's recasting from Yakuza Kiwami 2.
