When “OCD” is used as an adjective, it trivializes and invalidates the real suffering and courage of people living with this serious and debilitating condition.

For many reasons, including the relentless attacks on science and academia, it’s been challenging for me to access joy lately.

And yet, I know how important it is to savor moments like this.

Some findings presented at ABCT this year —

* masculine ideology significantly moderates the relation between childhood maltreatment and both experiential avoidance and distress

* men with ⬇️ levels of abuse and ⬆️ endorsement of traditional masculine norms report the greatest distress

He’s got it made.

Sadly, I will not be attending ABCT this year. But today I wrapped up my poster that my collaborator will be presenting for us this year:
