The whole point of the provision is to deter federal prosecutors from investigating the Senate with million-dollar lawsuits. Think of it as the Senate's version of Trump v. United States. bsky.app/profile/prim...

I mean, the senate just made a 'privacy bill' that only applies to...the senate. The chances of legal success misses the corruption forest for the trees.
