Lulu's site isnt the best but they're much better for me as an author in terms of revenue and the 30% comes from their side, not mine. So if you fancy some not in the shops fun stuff for presents or fulfilling your own carnal needs, why not give writers like me a go this Christmas? Thank you.

Hope you enjoyed this bracketed bimbling. If you missed it or want to queue up again, you can do it via the Noisebox Radio Mixcloud or my personal Patreon. There's a repeat Friday 11am too.

Named after an extinct bird, Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi were probably too exciting for the charts in 2001. But I love them, especially tracks like "Names (For Nameless Things)".

A cover which got The Wedding Present on TOTP - "Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me)" is perhaps the most mistitled record ever. But can you taste the venom?

The last single released in his lifetime, Elliott Smith's "Pretty (Ugly Before)" is as stunning as its title suggests. Unlike me who is clearly trapped in the before section.

The Soft Boys released "(I Want to Be An) Anglepoise Lamp" in 1978, thus setting the path for a lifetime of fantastically odd Robyn Hitchcock songs. But is it a sex thing?!

My Bloody Valentine loved a bracket - there's three on "Isn't Anything" alone- but I've chosen to play "(When You Wake) You're Still in a Dream" because my life is a constant nightmare.

They Might Be Giants? On Noisebox Radio?! Shocking affair! Best call for "(She Was A) Hotel Detective" and hope she has one of those blue light things for the muck.

For the single release of "Sheffield Song", The Supernaturals bunged "(I Love Her More Than I Love You)" in brackets for the slower pop purchasers. Didn't work sadly. Go buy their new stuff here though: thesupernaturalsofficial.bandcamp.com
