Lastly a community to collaborate on effectively moving to web standards as an industry

The narratives around leaving react, ”standards people” and so on are all done mostly it seems in poor faith, little hope, or lack of belief ”the other side will listen”

Would love to see it reversed

So many things I read, particularly from orgs that review books, are things like “I wish the author addressed ___.”

Ok but let’s not take away from what is being said. Wishing for everything to be addressed is wishing for someone to say nothing at all

What specifically about Deno Fresh 2.0? I just checked the website and don’t see anything related to PWA’s

VitePWA loses me quick 🫣

I've been looking at workbox a good bit today so maybe a journey will begin for me. idk haha

this is by far the nicest one I have used. Wish the implementation was just a package as a vite plugin or something. would make things so nice.

I look into Capacitor and Ionic again. Just doing some discovery right now. Thanks for suggesting it!

Can you explain what you mean more by "writing against the platform"? I like the enhance examples I have seen I am thinking offline too which maybe that's what is being said here. Just explaining for context

And some of these I haven't built yet cause the initial experience of setting up a pwa was just so painful for one app I built, a journaling app for a community, I just can't bring myself to do it again 😅

It's not so much about sync. I love InstantDB, Automerge, Convex, Dexie and a few others.

Mostly just the offline setup for users the dynamic nature of the app still working as expected. Lots of these are small journaling, reflections, little games where being online doesn't need to be there.

And not just the generic setup but more so wanting things to work offline as expected (which I realize varies widely depending on the app)

The closes thing I think there is to this currently is how sveltekit handles pwa's with its compiler.

Thank you! Don't mind the advice at all. Patience with myself is something I am also working on and am really bad at. Working on 'self talk' to also try to work through and have some freedom in it! Thanks Jason!

Just purchased. Also have recently started adhd meds in hopes it helps me as well. Trying to use all the tools at my disposal cause it is something I am desperate to have some measure of victory in.

Thanks for sharing the book recommendation!

When they have that kind of "whiplash" moment and ask "wait, how did we get here?"

Then you try to follow the train of thought haha

I'm gonna build a sales safari chrome extension that is a browser MotivAider for myself

Every few seconds, get a gentle visual/auditory nudge to remind myself "Hey, are you thinking about ideas or are you reading people's pain?"

"Are you validating a perceived pain or real pain?"
November 3, 2025 at 3:15 PM
I literally found myself today frustrated with a given scenario, and messaged a friend and said, give me a good idea

I know better. But it is so so easy to think the right idea brings the desired outcomes.

In today's world you don't drift into proven processes, you drift into slop. Cultivating and working the muscles to not drift off track is so, so hard.
November 3, 2025 at 3:13 PM
So much of life is spent approaching it as "if I just had the right idea" only to then realize no one wants the idea but to then have a devil/angel bickering inside over "I just need to make money" to then be led back to "I need a good idea".

Must....break....free...

This is what @amyhoy.bsky.social refers to as the fail cycle I believe.

To have the wisdom of amy and @alexhillman.com in their 30x500 course but slip into ideas 95% of the time.

I need a MotivAider that Kathy Sierra mentions in her book to gently nudge me every 30seconds to forget ideas
