It’s time to stop talking Jivani. Though the more you do the more you expose your anti-Canadian sentiments.

JIVANI: "We are shooting ourselves in the foot if we continue this anti-America hissy fit. And this is the kind of reason I'm trying to talk into our government and some of the liberals who have just gone way off the reservation on this."

Yes Rob Russo, speaking on “Power & Politics” said it clearly. Jamil Jivani had an opportunity to advance Canada’s position re trade with the US and he squandered it.

Tanille Johnston also on “Power & Politics” offering her reasons why she could be the leader of the NDP. I appreciate her eagerness especially as it seemed like host J.P. Tasker asked her more challenging questions than he did McQuail.

I appreciate people stepping up to run for office. Listening to Ontario farmer Tony McQuail (who has run 7 times federally & provincially) on “Power & Politics” give his reasons why & how he could lead the NDP I’m not convinced he has what the party or the country is looking for.

Windsor City Councillor Marignani suggests using the tunnel rather than the Ambassador Bridge. Denies a small amount of $ to the Moroun family who own the bridge but trucks still need the bridge & it doesn’t resolve the issue created by Trump around the new Howe Bridge.

She fell on her 3rd jump but nailed it with the first 2.
Impressive sport.

I’m laughing at this description 😂
This sounds hopeful - but not enough to make me feel sorry for them. 😉

This! 😉I mean, a snack is only going to get you so far.
"women only watch baseball for the hot players" listen, I can admit Ernie Clement is a snack as much as the next girl, but if you think that snack is enough to sit in the Rogers Centre for seven hours to watch my team lose on a home run from Brendan Little in the 18th, you need your head checked

🧵Great reporting from @onestpress.onestnetwork.com

Correct me if I'm wrong, but reading through Rubio's comments here, did we not hear this or something very similar about Venezuela and their governance after the "capture" of Maduro?
This is from the press conference in Budapest. Please read it.

CBS News comes up with a question prompting Rubio to defend Hungary’s continuous purchase of Russian gas (while “accidentally” referring to Orban as “President”) - Rubio then compares Hungary’s strategy to US “America First”.

Canada is now the first non-European country to be granted a membership in SAFE. This is a gamechanger program that means Canada can rearm our Canadian Armed Forces members more effectively and scale up our defence industries with more contracts overseas.

Best of luck to Janice Charette. I certainly do not envy her taking on this role.
A thankless role in many ways but I support anyone who has the ability to achieve our best interests.
Not going to be easy.

Love this - the fierce honesty of @kajakallas.bsky.social - right up there with Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and her “worst poker face” as she stood near Trump.

These women are sheroes. And we need more.

Because those moments bring balance and breath and remind us to be grateful for even the smallest things.
Even on the hardest days when we feel lost in darkness we need those moments.
Those frivolous moments are what makes it possible to carry those heavy days.

As Charlie says.

Canada IS harming itself - by ever having had this guy parachuted into a riding in order to be elected.

He was somewhat controversial even before he entered the political arena.

Background reading offers insights.

Monday morning coffee - when it’s tea.
Some days need the soothing nature of tea.
Last week Canada was mourning the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge & last night I learned of another too young death. The world moves on but grief does not.
Tea won’t cure or change anything but it can warm a weary heart.

As Gabi said - Kaja Kallas is not wrong.
Great article, worth the read.
I first heard Kaja Kallas interviewed on CBC’s “Power & Politics”. She impressed me then with her depth of knowledge and clear, concise communication.
As ever she is accurate & articulate in this article.
