In the dumpster fire that the job market is, my heart is drawn to the early career and pivoting folks displaced by AI performing entry level and automatable work. The corporate experimentation with LLMs as labor replacement is uninformed, shortsighted, and disrespectful. Fixing the source of 1/2

Cognitive warfare has been shown to be effective.

When it aligns a community to believe another community presents an existential threat, it can catalyze systemic risks including dehumanization, crimes against humanity, and related violence.

Plan to expand presidential powers
+ flood system with illegal orders
+ wait for legal pushback limited by resources & energy
+ win in areas not challenged by fervent advocates

- summarized thoughts of Dr. Mandi Pratt-Chapman

Sounds accurate. Easier to tear down than to protect or build.

Did you know you can "make your own post-doc" by applying for external research funding? Many/most departments would be happy to provide office space to someone who brings their own funds.

Any #BehavioralScientist focusing on #reuse and/or #refill products?

More specifically how people think about and react to reuse/refill systems?

Some applied work I just finished encountered very weak motivations to use these systems. I'm curious about others' work in this area...

I love the idea of a Social 5-a-Day!

Considering ideal social connection like we consider ideal vegetable intake.

Relationships are a strong predictor of health & longevity, so we should focus on meaningful interactions, too. In this remote work, online dating, and food delivery era, we need this!

One of my professional goals is to get startups, nonprofits, and small companies to include a #BehavioralStrategy in their planning and organizational documentation.

I'm tired of seeing plans that assume people are just ACHING to spend money or go through some obnoxious process just because. 🙄

Weird how so many people in #sustainability talk about complex systems, #ecosystems, interconnectedness, etc., but then when talking about how to get people to change to support all this, suddenly it's all about stopping individuals from making *stupid, uninformed* choices.

Such an odd blindspot.

You know, right before a 4hr drive home on a Sunday afternoon?

And your partner is out of sick days and PTO and you live in the US?
