Now back and in Port au Port West.
Can't leave a beach without pockets filled with rocks.
I won't follow back if you have nothing posted or if you have no bio. Sorry.

I enjoyed watching that hockey game, even if we lost.

I got my driver's license (I was 23 so it was a big deal for anxiety-Gina) on that day.
I was the first appointment and they had me skip 'parking on a grade' because at the first attempt the car started sliding backwards before I even had a chance to try.
They cancelled all the other exams that day.
On Jan. 4, 1998, an ice storm developed over southern Ontario and Quebec.
For more than 80 hours, freezing rain fell.
It left millions without power, killed 34 people and caused billions in damages.
This is the story of the 1998 Ice Storm.

Why are countries still trading with the United States?
Because it's convenient?
It'll still be convenient for countries to continue trade with them when they invade Canada.
We think we are special because we say "sorry" and people like us?
Life will keep going on like this until the World steps up.

Just saw someone comment: "CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS"
when what they meant was "Congratulations!!"
Do I tell them?

When people say RIP MTV what they really mean is 'Goodbye to the MTV of my childhood which hasn't existed since 1992 with the introduction of "The Real World".
*I never watched the real world
*No idea if it was 1992, but that's when I graduated high school so...
*Reality killed the Video Star?

Watching the IIHF Canada Finland game from last night.
Question: the whole goalie glove being hit by the stick and letting that goal in.
Why wasn't it slashing if the glove wasn't in the blue ice? Are you allowed to slash the goalie's glove?

I went out, didn't drink, got home by 1. Went to bed pretty quickly, slept until 8:15 (15 minutes ago) so all in all, pretty responsible.
So why to I have to have a raging terrible headache?

Good. But this isn't their job. It's not mine or yours. It's law enforcement's job and why aren't these adults who abused children being prosecuted?
(It's because those in power either 1. don't believe women, 2. don't care about sexμal abuse of children if it's high-end, or 3. they are on the list)
NEW: Epstein survivors are getting impatient with Congress for not enforcing the Epstein Transparency Act, and say they will start naming names in 2026.

Me: Courage is an odd song for the goal celebration song. It says it right there 'Courage, it couldn't come at a worse time'
Also me: What the hell is that song about anyway?
Me again, an hour later: Gord Downey read a lot of books and wrote interestingly odd lyrics
Me: Still weird for a celly song

I love living rurally, especially since town is only 15 minutes away.
But....
My Dear Neighbours...
If you must use an ATV with a blade to clear your drive, can you practice in the daytime? You are not very good at it in the dark. It's taking a really long time and it's annoyingly loud.

People I feel equal or less pity for than Sir James Dyson.
They are:
•all other billionaires
•all 'almost' billionaires
•all the people who oppose the Epstein Files being released with only the victims' identifying information removed.
They can all cry in their cornflakes.

The best part is that CBS gets none of the ad revenue from all the people watching the segment.

A weird thing about living in Newfoundland and Labrador is how quickly the ACC has become the Arts and Culture Centre and not the Air Canada Centre.

My husband just told me he learned how to stop the bologna from curling in the pan.
Me: 'Yeah, you put little cuts in the edges'.
Him: 'No. You take away their little brooms'
And (I swear to God) my dog woke up from a dead sleep to give the biggest groan I ever heard and the timing was perfect.

The only time that dump truck and Rob Reiner should be in the same story is to say:
Dunold Trunk is like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men, except Col. Nathan R. Jessep gets called on his anger-fueled rambling and goes down in disgrace and that dump truck gets to go on dumping his trash endlessly.

I live in an area that often gets missed by big storms when the surrounding area gets slammed.
We were not missed overnight.
There is a lot of snow outside.
