Virror has come alive!
Last night I brought first light to Virror 2.0! 🎉 Not perfect, but with so many parts built by volunteer labor I cannot complain about a couple errors. They'll be fixed in no time! Being porange for the pic was a happy mistake.

A great big thanks to everyone who has helped to upgrade Virror, but especially Bryan and Daniel who took homework in the form of PCB fabrication. At work parties ~200 lengths of 16 LEDs were constructed, over 16Kg (36lbs) worth. Each of the 12 PCB has ~200 solder joints. 🤩

Old Virror build vs. New build. A graduated and marked cylinder shows the new hole is 0.8mm smaller than before. But sadly the LEDs just did not fit. I felt so bad undoing the work of people trying to make it work. But, to do it right they had to go back to the fabricator.

The panels got built wrong the first time because of some last minute changes didn't make it back into the design files 7 years ago. Black Label Metals made it right by drilling, de-burring and re-powder coating the panels in time to show. Great shop! maps.app.goo.gl/qCpScKCe68Vz...

Construction on Virror has been ongoing. Since the screen is growing so must the power supply. There are now Six 5V@60A power supplies feeding the screen, one for each column of panels.
