If we drop bombs on suspected drug smugglers than we can fire rockets at suspected money launderers, use land mines against assumed illegal immigrants, etc...

Also, the stuff article about this says “New Zealands statutory leave allowances remain generous by international standards” when in reality, we are 68th in the world for paid leave days (public holidays + paid annual leave). Is middle of the pack generous?

I've been following an analysis of the UK attempt (thomasrpearson on IG) - it will most likely put more teenagers and other vulnerable groups at risk. Identity theft, outing people, predators. She knows this. And doesn't care. All about the optics.

One thing that works for me (mostly) is having an exercise partner - I feel guilty if I don't follow through. With a group walk or swim, it will still happen if I'm not there; if it's just the two of us I'm letting them down by not doing it. If it's me on my own, yep I bail.

Yes! There's a reason we're nicknamed "The Shaky Isles". As well as, being such a small place, so much of our land is close to the sea, close to tsunamis. And we rely on tourism income with the attendant risk of biosecurity breaches... eg hornets and measles.

Which is why there are so many great films - and schlock! 😁 - on YouTube, Tubi, and the like ❤️
