Excuse me butting in but we have heavy clay and stepping stones really are good.
We also dug a trench and filled it with big gravel. The spaces between the gravel fill with rain water under the lawn - a lot of work but it does mean the top of the grass is less soggy.

Our (long deceased) elderly Arthur cat who had the same issue, would let me file his front claws with a nail file, but not his rear-paw claws.

No photos of Minnie recently, she was bitten on her right back leg and has been having VET treatment. She’s starting to feel a little better, so here’s a pic of her relaxing (I’ve cropped the picture to exclude the gruesome wound).

Hunters lunch at The Fox Inn at Corfe Castle village. OH was very happy with this spread, including deep fried gherkins, which I am told were delicious. The food here in #Dorset has been consistently excellent in quality.
