This is what you get when school's out, you're in recovery (surgery), and I cannot be half-assed to do shit with my hair.

Recovering from three surgeries all at once + bonus hospital stay from being discharged too early. I'm feeling well enough to be home now, and I seem to bed managing, but damnit I'm not paying my body enough to heal faster. Just trying to slow down and actually relax for a hot minute.

I sent these texts almost two years ago. And I've changed my life in every possible way since then. I'm so glad I'm still here to see it.

Writing is thought-organizing. I’m usually better in interviews when talking about something I’ve recently written, with relevant facts at my fingertips and a logical progression in which to present them.

Having a machine write for you is cheating yourself. And brain scans evidently confirm it.
“When participants used ChatGPT to draft essays, brain scans revealed a 47% drop in neural connectivity across regions associated with memory, language, & critical reasoning.

Their brains worked less, but they felt just as engaged—a kind of metacognitive mirage.”🧪

I have three surgeries ahead of me, in mid-December, and I am currently self-destructing from the stress of it all. Any and all advice on how to focus on the last few weeks of school ahead of my (only slightly exaggerated) doom would be greatly appreciated.

Just led the first club meeting of Economics Club, as club president, of the new semester! I'm super excited for what we're going to make of this!

On the hunt for an #Economics internship for 2026, US or Canada based. Intermediate (and growing) proficiency in French, so Québec is firmly a possibility. #EconSky drop me a line if you know of any opportunities for a US-based doctoral student in economics!

Just got out of the first class of my PhD, as a bona fide PhD student. I'm absolutely elated. So happy to be on this journey.

This whole "let's catch the bus in the morning instead of driving in" idea is letting me get caught up on my reading and relax and wake up in the morning, while still getting to school on time. Very ok with this.

Well. Turns out that two years of using BlueSky as more of a personal blog-type dealio and less of a porn stash has paid off. Quick trip down two years of memory lane has me feeling...

Grateful. I've come a very long way, very quickly. Just got to keep thriving. #furtherup #furtherin

Clearly this bluesky profile is for the bears, so I just made a professional bluesky profile. I know when a battle is lost. LOL

I spent the entire day in Baltimore yesterday and my (exhausted) queer soul is refreshed and revived. Got some summer reading to inform my studies while I'm in DC. Very excited for these.

I've got 99 problems, and maximizing utility subject to a wage rate and future consumption is definitely one.

Feels like a major decision to continue French in the Fall, because it is, what with starting a PhD program, but I'll be going as an auditor only. That will give me significant flexibility.

A year ago I was struggling after being discharged from the psychiatric hospital, trying to get back on my feet.

Today I'm flying so high that I've forgotten what it feels like to walk.
