Here you go, free idea for a business opportunity, or open source project, Friend Private Network (FPN). A version of VPN between pen pals in other countries that has no middle-man so isn't subject to sensorship. But you better trust your friend isn't doing crimes. Like Netflix buddies? No problem!

When you wonder how companies can ignore people. Remember this: 1 widget to 0.1%er for a million $s can have 99% profit and be pocket change to the buyer. Why would you choose to make 1 million widgets where the overall profit may only be 5%-10% and 1 million finicky customers?

Elon's Wikipedia knock off is a hot mess of AI hallucinations and information voids. I just wasted 30 minutes of my life there doing evaluation and sweet googly moogly we are just destroying the breadth of human knowledge breathtakingly fast.

I did my first install of Linux (Linux Mint Cinnamon) on a new laptop instead of Windows 11 for a family member. We're all kind of done with Windows. I setup all the photo editing software they need, Minecraft and Steam. They're going to let me know if they have issues. Hopefully this goes smooth.

This is your holiday reminder that that top-off extra money you give at the register for whatever charity, is a actually a charitable write off for the business. That means, good job helping them reduce their taxes! If you want to donate, do it direct. ALWAYS.

Anyone have luck recovering Amiga floppies? I finally got a DrawBridge earlier this year and my success rate on reading my disks is running at 10%-20%. Granted they haven't been stored in the best of conditions but that seems awful low. Looking for any advice or tips.

I don't know who needs to read this but for fux sake stop saying "half the country voted for this." It's roughly 36%. 36% of the country's population voted for this and until you see a poll showing numbers drop to 20% or less in support of what's happening then nothing has changed.
