Probably less. Looks like a set I want singles from, and I don't think spending my time gambling boxes for a single antiquity pack is a good use of my money. (But more power to those that do and hit.)

Not Josh, but: lots of d-reacts and blocks that are higher rate than warrior's low value reacts. Oh, and losing every single clash.

It's funny. Compared to normal anime art, anime Dori is so restrained and under-sexualised. Hells, I even got one (because Marvel Dori's cost so. much. money.)

Compared to her normal art, it's a fan service pin-up.

Don't get me wrong. It's not as good as felling. Before she got Burn Bare and then LutL, Verdance basically existed as "deck that gets to play felling". Hell, frankly, even afterwards that's basically all she is.

The troll said: "yes, but then why aren't you playing Florian." And they were right.

In theory (though probably not practice all that often) Bare Destruction is an easy quest into any number of potential effects. 10 damage? Send Packing? Splatter Skull?

How much is that valued at? Bare (lol) numbers are 9 (6 + 2 +1 for go again. Versus Felling's 11 (or Oaken Old's 15).
January 19, 2026 at 11:07 AM
Felling is about as much power as you can imagine fitting into a whole card. Gotta go on a quest, etc.

But also, there's a reason earth decks don't run pummel: it's insanely hard to use it with Felling or Plow. You can extend into Felling, but not out of it – even Verdance can't fruits after.

There so much gear now that basically reads "fuck Boltyn in particular" that I'm unsure what can possibly be printed to ever make him meta. Like if Boltyn is great, just run Stonewall and (if warrior) Kabuto and move on.

I guess you make him OP except warriors, but... eh. EEEEEEH.
January 16, 2026 at 11:42 PM
Except it's not a "open packs" WP. It's a pre-con decks world premiere. We're not even getting that experience in person.

They have their own border. The weird "all arakni eyes" thing which is used for Chaos. Which, I think, is how fabdle measures this.
January 8, 2026 at 10:24 AM
A friend who plays Cindra is of the opinion that the deck is basically fine after nerfs, but the rise of Mario (who got better after their own nerf) means you’re being squeezed from the meta.
January 6, 2026 at 5:11 PM
10s as their example of time to think is so distant from to the game as played, as to be worrisome. Like laughably short. Cindras take more time considering their blocks.
January 6, 2026 at 5:09 PM
That's the challenge isn't it. Because you need your opponent to play ball. Even normal turns from them probably draws you the game, and they're not going to take normal time because they don't have a normal game to navigate.

It's why you have to puppy eye beg them to concede. And they shouldn't.

One of the fangs was Dracai of Decimation, too.
January 5, 2026 at 11:11 PM
Honestly, the meta has been shaped by one deck, and the decks that can deal with it (or survive it). That deck is, to the shock of no-one (well, at least not me) a board based deck. Turns out fundamentally breaking the format of the game is pretty good.

You know, as a South African, it never even occured to me that it's odd for "Trek" to be in the title. But obviously, what an odd choice.

The other thing to say that "fleeing British Enlighenment values" is a very nice way to say that once slavery was banned, they left.

A piece of feedback. The shareable graphic spoils whether it's a young or old hero fairly consistently – as the spaces are static and information specific (and people seem to guess adult first.) I don't know the information design to better show the guessing, but it's a challenge.

She's fun. And her fatigue builds are realish. Hopefully her full send yolo stuff will catch up.

(And I love her whole aesthetic.)
December 27, 2025 at 11:42 AM
I largely agree, but I did laugh at ring of roses. When played turn zero, the usual amount of healing done by it is ~3.

It does change the math though. And can be a terror, don’t get me wrong. But most times you play it, it was the wrong choice.
December 24, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Thankfully, you can do the math on it yourself. I'm fairly certain Florian would be gone or almost gone. But Verdance would only be about 60-70 points ahead, and Oscilio about 30. Big shrug.

You won't catch me saying Runeblades aren't a problem.
December 22, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Two MST heroes LL'd in a year. Another in about one year and three weeks.

Verdance is still hanging around, at sub 700 LL points, after 15 months. Florian, 800. Oscilio sub 200.

These are very different problems. (Aurora was gross, though.)

I always liked the idea of a Ponder 3 effect. Either choosing the perfect arsenal or taking IP3s to build 6/7 card hands.
December 17, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Oh, it's more about maximising value. Gravies find it easy to get the yellow attack, for obvious reasons, and will usually hold for the blue attack.

Giving them a red finisher just makes them happy. Giving them another yellow attack makes that playline just a little more awkward.
December 17, 2025 at 10:07 AM
I was thinking yellow attacks that you don't want to discard (but might have to anyway). Gives fatigue protection with the dog, moves the deck away from only doing Starvo crayon things with Leyline.
December 17, 2025 at 9:50 AM
It's a direct statement. More than once. It makes less and less sense every time another piece of really good AB1 gets printed.
