I'm just not certain what you're trying to do here. A: I didn't say there weren't two of heroes in the PQs. And B: the only mirror in a London PQ was puffin. In a final.

Is that what you're complaining about? The puffin meta? Honestly.

And yes, I had to go check my own memories in Baz videos.
I play in a really, really competitive city with multiple 40-60 person PQs and a few world points race players. The top fours at PQs have involved Kassai, Huntsman, Fang, Jarl, Oscilio, DIO, Puffin, Victor, Verdance, Kano, Kayo, Gravy, and, yes, Cindra.

No top 8 with more of two of a hero.
It can be fun, but it can't be a competitive format. And in FAB, non-competitive formats are invisible. It's why blitz players mourned the ending of competitive support, because we (and the community) know it means blitz's death.

LL can't just be the Starvo & Chane adventures for the next 5 years.
Honestly, the S class heroes are way closer to the rest than we've had for an recent top tier Full tipple gravy was favoured into his worst matchups (except warriors, who didn't exist).

Aurora/Viserai had no predators or counters. Each were one deck metas.

Then MST.

This is comparitively great.
You may be right. In which case LL will remain the jank format, less balanced and less fun than blitz. With only three heroes worth playing at any time.

And at that point they may as well abandon the entire endeavour. Certainly as a competitive format. And in FAB, no competition is a dead format.
If they do this well, the format will become less distinct from CC in powerlevel, but a much more serious and real format.
I'm on the opposite side. Over time LL is going to have to become a more serious format as more and more heroes that aren't design mistakes get there.

You cannot have Azalea and even 80% power Chane in the same format. So as the numbers of Azaleas increase, Chanes will have to suffer.
I agree. I’m just trolling Porter, who was spent the last two years screaming “don’t play that format” whenever blitz was mentioned.
Sounds like it’s just an unpopular format and they should end of life it. No-one wants to play LL. Not even world’s competitors.
Play Blitz instead.
Maybe just make it so that invites are passed down.
My goal is get Blaze LL’d during this last skirmish.
I think the goal is for it to be the format that papers over the cracks of “your cards should always be playable” stretching to three year gaps for hero rereleases. But it can’t achieve that if you’re mixing fair decks like Azalea with design mistakes like Chane.
I don't, because right now it's everything people accused Blitz of, just with a much much much narrower meta.

But I want it to be good. And they need it to be good.
It remains tapped after transformation. And hey, you can present either side first.

It means some turn cycles you'll be able to block 4 with a card, then on your turn flip to wolf and swing with whatever "Claw" weapon exists with +1.
How about something like

Druid - Wolf Form

Your first weapon attack each turn gets +1.

Instant: Tap Druid. Transform into Druid - Bear Form.

(Flip them over)

The first action card you block each turn with gains 1 defense.

Instant: Tap Druid. Transform into Druid - Wolf Form.
You're my personal hero.
Lovely idea. But any "give go again" printed on a hero has always, always, always been absolutely busted.
I'm just annoyed as we can see all the cards created for this hero that are essentially unplayable. I bet they thought Commanding Presence was going to be Plow Under or CnSea.
@lss-karol.bsky.social Question regarding Snyder. How late in the process was he abandoned? Because you can see all the warrior cards printed around his ability (fatal engagement, commanding presence, etc.) that are otherwise kinda dead, largely unplayable cards without it. Too late to adjust?
Whether the usage of generated art for this purpose is wrong - and that they should have just had a white text box that said "ART TBD" is fair enough. But it's not replacing someone's art. Other than a scribble, there was never going to be anything paid there.
I think you have may have plenty of points, do remember this is a placeholder image, probably whipped by JW in 10 minutes, just so they have something there while fiddling about in testing. LSS 100% will pay artists for final stuff.
Ssssh. I want at least a 20 minute judge panic when I do it.
