In the UK, we continue to deplore and challenge all forms of Islamophobia and Antisemitism. We have a collective responsibility to call out hatred, bigotry and prejudice in all its guises, and to show allyship with anyone who has faced intolerance and discrimination.

It is imperative that all parties work together respectfully and in line with international law through dialogue and diplomacy to support peace efforts, to uphold human rights, and bring about long-term stability and security.

While the recent ceasefire in Gaza is a welcome step, the situation remains fragile and there is much more to be done to achieve lasting peace.

Our heart goes out to all those mourning the deaths of friends and family, many of whom were women and children, and to a population that has endured intolerable famine, disease, trauma, displacement, and grief on an unconscionable scale.
