LTNs: what the latest evidence tells us: that people living in LTNs reduced the distance they drove by around 6% more than those living outside them. Quieter streets make local journeys feel safer and more appealing on foot or by bike.

The Mildmay Liveable Neighbourhood has now gone live. Traffic filters are located at the east end of Mildmay Road, at the east end of St Jude Street, and on King Henry’s Walk adjacent to the Adventure Playground. More info here: www.letstalk.islington.gov.uk/mildmay-live...

The first update in ages on the BLCS Liveable Neighbourhood has been posted by @islington-council.bsky.social.

Not much info but it seems that they are "exploring new approaches". We don't know what this means yet.

Maybe this is why some are concerned about the possibility of new traffic restrictions in the area, while it seems nobody wants to lose the existing Barnsbury road closures and restrictions.
