#ITeachPhysics Day 82
Even numbered AP completed the coffee filter lab. Still run into the same issues of other things around getting picked up. I forgot that 50% skipped the pre req physics and hadn't learned how to use motion detectors which slowed us down. 🧪🎢

#Teach180 Day 72
Physics did some demos about static equilibrium and learned how to calculate the force in two strings holding up a sign at an angle.
AP Physics even blocks completed the same conversation of momentum lab. While the set up can be temperamental, it is so satisfying when it works. 🎢🧪

#Teach180 Day 61
AP learned about Kepler's Laws and derived the third one. They worry about it not being on the equation sheet until we derive it for a circle.
Physics did a max force lab, making use of string that I was gifted that falls apart very easily. Continuing to reinforce Fnet vs others.🎢🧪

#Teach180 Day 43 cont
Physics continued exploring Newton's Laws without calling them that with the blocks & bands activities. They have similar blocks, some with hooks and some without that they attach to rubber band chains. Lots of prescribed experiments but they also do their own. 🎢🧪

#Teach180 Day 15:
AP Physics worked through a review slide deck in partners for forces covering everything from units to vector addition to FBD, conceptual scenarios, etc. Great discussions if they engage with it. It includes this inertial reference frame question i mocked up: 🧪🎢

Even with fresh batteries this one wont work ... I think its time it goes to the toy car junk yard. 🧪🎢
