just finished bruce white's "they refused to be moved" and was pleasantly surprised with how much i like it. the book tells a really fascinating story that i assumed i knew but ended up learning so much.

favorite part of christmas just happened. my dad and brother fixed our grandfathers 1925 Ives toy train set. this thing rules maybe i am a train guy now.

#bikempls -- I need some guidance. insurance just paid out after my garage was broken into. I have ~$500 to buy a new bike or build on this frame that the thieves left. For context I don't ride much/as far as I used to but it's important I have something to swoop around in!

Just a few more finishing touches on the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame at the Daytons Project and it'll be open to the public in a week!

in more recent years sports editors Star Tribune have inducted new members to the #MNSHOF, but its always been a ceremonial thing, with newspaper coverage every time a new class is inducted. during the metrodome years plaques were installed on the concourse there.

If you saw yesterdays skeet about the MN Sports Hall of Fame Experience opening on black friday you might have thought "wtf is that". Well my friend the #MNSHOF is actually 66 years old. It was originally conceived as a banquet to celebrate the states centennial. 🧵

veterans day is a top tier holiday imho. everyone in my house has school or work except me. my garage has never been cleaner and i got this bike stripped down to just the frame. this will be my fun winter project.

garage got broken into this week and my third bike in as many years was stolen. the thieves left this POS. at the rate these bikes get stolen its insane to buy new, so maybe fixing this up is my winter hobby?
