just finished bruce white's "they refused to be moved" and was pleasantly surprised with how much i like it. the book tells a really fascinating story that i assumed i knew but ended up learning so much.

no one asked but here is my take on cooperstown (or really any sports hall of fame). they are museums that have found a clever way of staying relevant by inducting new hall of famers. it gets us all riled up and spurs interest in the museum. which is fun and fine but really its just marketing.
