I give thanks today for a cold baked Purple Viking potato from my garden (skin on!) with a slice of cheddar cheese (both eaten just out of hand plain) with a boosted coffee (sumatra with a scoop of espresso powder). Mmmm

Apple 🦜 is certainly in a fowl mood this morning. (Spelling choice deliberate.) Full on Mr Crankypants Out For Blood mode. Saw it coming this time and got him into his LR cage before he turned full velociraptor on the side of my head.

Hello, first hard frost (for me)
Even with my foggy eyes and no glasses I could see the grass is still frosted white in the shadows
Temp was 27 last night, currently at 33. Lovely!

so the sweet potato saga continues...
We didn't have any to harvest (we had a cold snap last month and harvested anything cold sensitive), but I brought in some of the foliage to continue growing indoors as a house plant. (and maybe use as starts next year).
It was gnarly at first, now magnificent!

We just brought in the ones Sis nicked with the shovel to eat right away. Aren't they gorgeous? They are good size. These are the only Vikings I'm a fan of. LOL (I might get tossed on of Minnesota for that.)

I was watching Great Canal Journeys and on one trip, Timothy West and Prunella Scales were on a narrowboat almost that color, I believe somewhere in Scotland. (Season 2 Ep 3). (Depending on the light it looked more purple in some shots and magenta in others.)

I adored my beautiful eagle bird Sir Hugo the Naked. My first thought at the shelter when I saw him was "Oh no" but he picked ME, he danced back and forth and then jumped on my hand when the cagedoor opened and didn't want to get down. So I told him he never had to.💓

I made a separate post with the fix! But I'll put it here, too.
It really works--for Adobe Creative Cloud apps that only partial dark mode on interfaces (the dropdown and secondary menus and tools remain glaringly white, and this lets me turn page bgs dark with white text so I can see them, too)
