Prohibit the naming or renaming of any federal building, land, or other asset in the name of a sitting president

Prohibit the use of federal funds to do so

Ensure this applies retroactively to the Kennedy Center

Never forget that Trump 2016 began with a paid crowd, and that the CNN CEO said Trump's rallies were covered nonstop by that network because he was good for business, if not for democracy.
ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

And yet we only hear lies about the former on cable news.
relevant to the debate over whether we should keep funding DHS without reforms and accountability for how out of control their spending is

I've taken the paywall off this eulogy I wrote for my magical, mysterious ex-stray cat George - who died last year - in case anybody would like a read.

It was very, very hard to write but I think it might be my favourite thing I’ve ever written about cats.

Whether one hates blue cities or not or believes in immigration reform or not - what the Trump regime is doing is tyranny.
Violent attacks on civilians by their own government is tyranny.
It’s not about blue or red, it’s about saving our constitutional republic from a tyrannical regime.

Our leaders must *choose* between 2 divergent futures- a privilege few are granted.

One where they are remembered as courageous examples of strength in the face of hate.

Another where they are condemned forever as cowards too afraid to put their bodies between their own people and rapacious evil.

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness.

You could be next.

They handed out cards bearing the names of people killed by ICE in this second Trump era.

There are a lot of cards.

In addition to Good's murder, ICE has been busy in Minneapolis causing car wrecks and traffic jams, filling the streets with tear gas and goons with loaded weapons, issuing specific threats and sewing general chaos.

This is not law enforcement to preserve order. It's an occupation to cause chaos.
Trump's thugs are going hog wild and tossing gas around in one of the busiest commercial districts in Minneapolis, just a mile or so from where I live. Complete insanity.
