It is time to build national infrastructure which is voluntary and inclusive. True guilds, cooperative economics based extended friends and family households, and basic income are all possible right now. We can build a better world that is simply more enjoyable to live in, if we work together.
We are not going to win by trying to repair the system. It's expired. We are not going to win by simply burning down the old system. Then we have nothing. We must build the new system and let it subsume the task of coordinating society.

One reason why fandom can be so aggressive and toxic is because it's the only way fandom has any say in a system where corporations hold creative power thanks to the artificial monopoly created by IP laws and enforced by the police state.

Trump will be to blame when people start dying. So will we if we do not build out support networks of our own. Because we can, if we do not, then the blame will be on us as well, even if it is also and primarily on Trump for simply cutting these resources.

Here's a solid progressive use for LLMs for all the people who want to say they have none. So many languages are critically endangered. We know LLMs can be built to be honest representatives of a language. LLMs can preserve those endangered languages! Stop the cultural extinction.

Unemployment inching up more, employment not doing so well, even if slightly better than predicted, wages doing worse than expected and barely positive in growth... Not looking good. Time for true guilds, domim, and UBI.

Jobs are disappearing, and they will continue to disappear. There will only be a handful of people who still make a livelihood by being employed. For everyone else, we either build UBI and guild based cooperative work systems, or the masses are screwed. We can build a bright future or not. #Barayin

Economic growth alone does very little to improve the human condition, which is why GDP is considered a poor measure of actual prosperity. Growth, including economic growth, is an essential part of life. It is not enough. Coupling shared and individual growth is just as important. #UBI #Barayin

The current stage of consumer choice is crumbling. While there are still a massive number of options available to the consumer, compared to say the pre-industrial era, choices are becoming more limited again, and access is declining.

Shareholders of megacorporations want to use AI and robotics to extract more profit by doing away with the employee. Yet those same technologies, esp. coupled w/ UBI, allows small cooperatives to do the same, allowing those small groups to function continually without needing to become employers.

To break that which is not broken is stupid. Unfortunately, it is often the case that attempts to bring awareness to that which is broken are mistaken for attempts to break it, because people are not aware, and are not willing to admit, that it is already broken.

Even democracies, which may be the best governments in the world, fail easily, because it is not impossible to directly participate in every decision making task that directly affects us. We rely on representatives. Moreover, without UBI, we simply do not have the time to participate.
