Oppression unpunished becomes the norm.

If we wait for those in power to find a line their conscience cannot bear, it will be a line far on the horizon with nothing but unmarked graves the whole way there.

They will not stop until they're made to stop.
If we're gonna be picky about fictional value, Yu Chenghui's Fu Qingzu from Seven Swordsmen of Mt. Heaven was palmstriking horses and they were sliding 20 ft sideways, while Cecep Rahman's Assassin from Raid 2 was not a bad showcase of the actor's actual skills.

i've said before that (at least for my purposes, and possibly yours) it's more useful to define AI by the political qualities that surround and attend to the project. surveillance projects like Flock and ShotSpotter don't need to implement a certain tech stack to be recognizably "AI" projects

NPR ran this story a few weeks ago that helped google frame "AI" as the "future of meteorology", drawing basically an equivalence between gemini, claude, etc... and some machine learning model that doesn't look anything like those things.

this deliberate ambiguity is very politically useful
this observation about AI is worth underscoring. AI registers in the public consciousness as a social/political project centered around labor (eg via data theft and precaritization) more than anything else (eg ML). that's the social phenomenon of AI, and this conflation NPR does is not super helpful
This is a legitimate scientific revolution in meteorology.

Also, to be clear, these models are not the AI LLMs that most people are familiar with. They are machine learning algorithms trained on observations (actually reanalysis).

how much water does it take to disrupt the careers of millions of people? how much water does it take to make deepfakes of underage kids? how much water does it take to exacerbate people's mental health crises? is there a good number? is there an acceptable number?

Just keep the stove on the down low
Said nobody is supposed to know" 😂

Why should religion or spirituality give peace, happiness and self-realization to others and not them?

And the unwillingness to look within is why that continues for them forever.

White supremacy in this world has to be "made" by constantly harming others so they're "below" them.

So they cannot get far enough to think through first principles of their supposed belief system or why reality is constantly undermining the delusion of white supremacy.

There's also a secondary point which is bigots are highly irreligious.

If you believe that cosmological forces also hate the people you hate, then in theory, you have nothing to worry about how other people believe.

But they lack faith bc white supremacy is constantly proven wrong by reality.

This is also why, in the modern era, they hate that folks have music, poetry, books, stories, movies, tv, videogames, anything, because even if you can envision a happiness for yourself, it angers them.

Why should -YOU- get to enjoy anything?

It actively enrages them, anyone having fleeting joy.
