February 11, 2026 at 8:35 PM
Haha, fair^^
I need to try picking simple locks again, but my entire pick set went missing ;-; (cheap stuff, but still)
One of the many hobbies that just kinda fell by the wayside, damn^^

I wonder what one could use as the hairpin-equivalent that works in real life...
One can often find single bristles of street sweeping machines in the street, which make nice torque levers, but to turn another one into a pick, you'd need a file.
Maybe a hairpin _would_ work as a simple rake, hmmm...

I swear to #$DEITY, if I die and anyone tries to turn my personality to slop, I WILL HAUNT THEM until they wish GPUs had never been invented.
February 8, 2026 at 7:37 PM
Oooooh, sounds like the good kind of side quest :D
February 8, 2026 at 6:11 PM
It absolutely is!
Well, some of it - have you seen the entries to IOCCC?
Like C-code in the shape of a donut that compiles to an ASCII torus, all kinds of beautiful insanity.
Of course it's a sliding scale. I (mostly) wouldn't call what I do at my day job art, just like I don't call an email a poem.

So imma let you in on something:
I learned how to write shaders after programming professionally for like... 8 years?
I'm still not great at it, lotsa math required, and me no good math brain.

Also, hey - your strengths more than make up for your weaknesses :)
February 7, 2026 at 9:24 PM
Is that a Godot thing???
Fragment shaders have been supported on integrated graphics since... more than 10 years.
February 7, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Yeah, I know we can't fucking live off of our art, but don't let monetary success diminish your accomplishment.
You've done it once, you can do it again!
I hope you find your audience, man.
You (and curtains) deserve it!

I try to find some helpful words here, but all I can offer is some perspective:
I've been trying to make games for more than 10 years, and I've released a handful of half-finished ones. You RELEASED a game, and a few people bought it!
You picked one of the hardest art forms and BROUGHT IT TO LIFE!

I dunno, the strong head wobble has got something to it :D
Hella cute fella already :D
February 7, 2026 at 7:27 PM
I mean on a second look he _could_ be gritting his teeth, but...
Well, I have a head canon now :D
February 7, 2026 at 6:58 PM
No, no.
This feels important.
February 7, 2026 at 6:32 PM

Today I finally remembered it's saturday while it's still said day and I'm gonna post for screenshotsaturday, yaayyy!
GF is sick and I might be too, so I'd rather make this count before it gets me as well...
