My late father-in-law lived in the area (Montrose Terrace, East Norton Place and Maryfield colonies) most of his life and went to Norton Park School round about this time. Him and my mother-in-law always said that they knew some of the girls in the film.

I would say it’s a combo of his age and film studies pretentiousness but that wouldn’t explain having The Spy Who Loved Me at number 2.

A friend of my daughter who did film studies at Uni (he’s going to 30 or 31) came up with this list of the Bond films from best to worst. I think the poor lad is insane and needs an intervention.

I’m at the stadium and can confirm that there are pancakes less flat than the atmosphere here. More noise for the mascot race at halftime than the game.
