Would I like a more leftist governor for him to work with? Sure. But right now he's got a sitting governor who knows she doesn't want him to endorse another candidate, and that's likely far more helpful to him than potentially having a future governor more aligned with his ideals.

Isildur claiming the ring for himself was *awful* because only Sauron could actually use the power of the ring.

This lines up quite well with liberals and establishment democrats' absolute refusal to use the icky tactics of the republican party to enact real, meaningful change for Americans.

Saw a comment that was like "Zohran's Isildur at Mt. Doom moment," and if that isn't the most centrist lib bullshit I've ever heard. Fucking nerds.

Fucking nerds.

To be clear, I don’t think Berger or Bond need to come back to resurrect Vertigo, it just feels weird to expect anything from this era based on what Vertigo WAS before.

Much more Weekend at Bernie’s than Return of the King, SKTCHD

Anyway, it’s wild to act like “Vertigo” means anything when the editors who shaped it are not part of the return.

It *also* feels telling that the only titles I want to spend money on are the two (OF NINE) that aren’t done by a pair of dudes.

Congrats to whoever wanted more 100 Bullets, though.

This just reminds me of lamenting the failures of memory with people who have been in the comics space online for a long time.

So much “I don’t remember the specifics, just that I don’t like this person/publisher” and needing to trust past you in reaching that conclusion.

Every time I saw something of theirs getting traction, there would be some part that would just rub me the exact wrong way, and today I learned that it feels wrong to describe anyone/anything but Kirby as the king wrt comics.

Of course, I’d guess part of the 🤮 feeling is from it being SKTCHD, too 🤷‍♀️

I’m glad for anyone I know who has gotten anything out of SKTCHD, but this is just another in a long series of 🤮 moments from me.

I can’t even remember what it was, but they first got a lot of attention doing data analysis that comics people loved and made me raise an eyebrow.

This was a good one. favorite parts were probably the shiny questions, though, which makes me wish it were all a bit less Magic-centric.

Everyone got so excited at the weird licensed card games that got maybe a set or two in the 90s.

This is an incredible gift. Incredible and unsettling.
