Miss Bella getting into the Xmas spirit.

Two more bargain finds this morning. Movie versions of Wallace's works rarely live up to the original book, but are usually entertaining in their own right.

When you're bargain-hunting, it's always a pleasure to find something you never knew existed. A 1930's movie version of the Edgar Wallace play.

Nice little name check for Mr W. in tonight's 'Footage Detectives'.

Today's find. Another Wallace for the collection, although the cover doesn't have the appeal of earlier editions. A movie version was made in 1960, which retitled the story as The Malpas Mystery. Filmed independently, it still formed part of the Merton Park series of Edgar Wallace Mysteries.

Mr Copper & Bella near the Christmas tree.

Today's bargain pick-up. Only £3 for the two series & special of this under-rated time travel show.

Today's pick-up. Another early Wallace edition for the collection, and a nice little tie-in to one of my favourite Bela Lugosi movies.

The Xmas tree is up. Being on my own again, I wasn't going to bother -but what the heck!

I recently picked up the boxset. Loved it back in the day, and it hasn't lost any of its charm and humour over the years. Sheer quality.

Today's delivery. I didn't get the chance to see it at the cinema, so I'm looking forward to watching Del Toro bring his vision of this classic Gothic horror to life.

Two lovely bargain finds today. Still sealed copies of a series I've never seen and one I'd never heard of.

Today's delivery. After a disappointing series 3&4, I'm hoping this will be a return to form.
November 17, 2025 at 4:09 PM
Today's bargain pick-ups. I've had the DVDs and later blu rays for years, but my cheap copies didn't have the little booklet. Love a little booklet 😃

An unusual little find today. At first I thought it was just a Dinky or Matchbox car, but the signed card shows it to be a limited edition reproduction of Insp. Morse's red Jag. Always amazes me the treasures people get tired of and donate to charity shops.

Today's pick-up. A glorious look into a sci-fi classic. Packed with photographs I've never seen before detailing the production and live broadcasts.
November 8, 2025 at 3:20 PM
I have only the very vaguest memories of this, but I remember it featured some of the oldest students this side of Rydell High. Only £4 for all episodes plus movie version.

I had no idea that True Detective had a fourth series. Nice pick up today for just £3.
November 3, 2025 at 4:05 PM
When you're bargain-hunting, it's always nice to come across you've never heard. Just 50p for this quirky-looking comedy from the early noughties.

Tucked away on the back shelf of a second-hand dvd shop -sadly, not quite in the shadows - Series 2 of this marvelous programme from the 70s. Made at a time when TV execs didn't hesitate to make their young audience think and imagine.
November 1, 2025 at 3:59 PM
Today's bargain find. An absolute steal for just a £1. Sadly, no cd with it, but can't complain. A lovely, quirky comedy/drama from the 80s.

Tonight's watch. Pizza, red wine and Tom Cruise giving his all in the last MI movie. The very definition of entertainment.
October 20, 2025 at 3:07 PM
Finally arrived. Arguably the best ever series of Classic WHO.
October 18, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Today's bargain pick-up. Just a £1 for the latest take on this iconic detective. And I thought Bob Mitchum was too old for the role...
