My #cat started sleeping on my desk chair one day and stole it from me. So I stole it back and now we're trying to out stubborn each other.

These lovely books were gifts for the holidays. I've read all three now, finishing this week with Bookshops & Bonedust.

I'm not a fan of line edits and copy editing. Takes me a long time to get through them. I use Pro Writing Aid and Autocrit to make it a little less painful.

Yes, I use placeholders for descriptions, dialogue tags, etc. in draft 1. So I spend the next few drafts replacing those, expanding on descriptions, making sure each major character has plenty of page time, etc., fixing plot holes and making sure nothing major is missing.

I'm probably on edit 20. I'm an underwriter. I normally spend drafts 2 and 3 extending sections that are too short or are missing descriptions etc. I'm a plotter and enjoy outlining. I'll revise the outline several times before and after draft 1. #IndieAuthorChat

Spent the afternoon #writing and finally made some progress on story #2! It's been a while since I've been able to focus enough to write. Made some minor revisions to a few scenes, and fully drafted another. I'm quite satisfied! 🥳

Day 3 of no coffee. I'm back to drinking caffeinated tea instead, but it's still challenging. Was super tempted to buy a latte on the way to work. I managed to resist though and now on tea #2. This is going to be a long day!
