It was a wonderful scene, all of us sharing space. The gays' heavy breathing and thwacking providing a background for us three nerds to talk about feminist theory. It reminded me how public sex can sometimes be such an ordinary and non-disruptive activity. A little slice of a beautiful queer world.

There's much more interesting things to be said about how patriarchal sex is actually bound up in men's imagined sexual prowess to produce female pleasure and how straight porn isn't really concerned with male pleasure at all - for that you gotta go to gay porn.

I went to at the time was not to let paranoia dominate your thinking & strategies. Security culture is good but very limited. You gotta remember that the state is a paranoid machine (everyone's a potential terrorist!) and that kind of thinking can destroy your movements (everyone's a potential cop!)
