Day 31-Monthly Wrap Up! January was a great month for my writing, I'm about half way through my first draft of my new WIP. The people I've shared it with so far have given me rave reviews and there's already a reader fave character that I absolutely have adored writing. #FantasyIndiesJanuary #WIP

Day 27- How have my WIPs changed since I first came up with them? I feel like it's spoilers, but Isolda's father died in the throw down draft. Early too. Now he survives the whole book. And for the romance I'm drafting now, the MMC was a bit more....obsessive. #FantasyIndiesJanuary #WIP #indieauthor

Day 25 - animals in WIP: in Nalavaris, most people take to the sky on their mounts to get around. Gryphons belong to royalty. Pegacorns to the noble houses. Soralos carry the rest of the world. #WIP #FantasyIndiesJanuary #indieauthor

Day 24, Saturday Snippet, a little piece from my current WIP :) #FantasyIndiesJanuary #WIP #snippet #indieauthor #amwriting

Day 22- I draw inspiration for my novels from history, family genealogy and mythology/folklore from my family's ancestral homelands. For example, my main characters Isolda, Alphaeus, Edmund, and Lydia are all names from my family tree. #WIP #FantasyIndiesJanuary #amwriting #indieauthor #inspiration

Day 17: Saturday Snippet from my current WIP featuring the reader favorite chaos gremlin. #FantasyIndiesJanuary #WIP #indieauthor #snippet #amwriting

Day 16: How does my characters handle stress? With Isolda, it can be only one of two options. Either she'll go out with Dacia and work on her sword skills, or she'll take a walk in the garden, releasing Ahren and Dacia from their five paces so she can take some space. #FantasyIndiesJanuary #writer

Day 15- Last, Current & Future reads: Last: The Raven & the Dove by K. M Butler. Current: The Wars of the Roses by Dan Jones. Future: The Plantagenents by Dan Jones (I know they're out of order but Wars of the Roses is a hyperfixation) #FantasyIndiesJanuary #tbr #recentreads #historynerd
January 15, 2026 at 11:42 PM
Day 5- writing habits: My steady routine rhythm is a daily goal of 500 words. I build myself a cocoon on the couch in the evenings and get cozy and just write on my major project. Often times, when something comes to me like a fever dream, I'll just sit down and write. #fantasyindiesjanuary #writer

Day 28, Collections: I collect a few things besides books, such as Funko Pops from my fandoms (Star Wars, Dune, Dr. Who, HOTD) Dinosaur fossils and figures, pretty stones and crystals, and pets ☺️ #FantasyIndiesNovember #collections #indieauthor

Day 25, Share Artwork: Here's a little mixed media piece of my FMC Isolda's younger sister. She's the type that people tend to underestimate. Intelligent, observant, not a fan of court politics. A real fun piece to make. #FantasyIndiesNovember #conceptart #mixedmedia #indieauthor #amwriting

Day 24, Do you listen to music while you write? Sometimes...it can't have lyrics, or be classical music that I will recognize though, or I get too distracted. I tried a classical for focus stream and started acting like I was the conductor...no writing got done. LOL #FantasyIndiesNovember #writer
November 24, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Day 21 Comfort movies/tv shows: My comfort movies are the Mel Brooks ones like History of the World Pt 1 & Robin Hood Men in Tights. Tv shows is always Mystery Science Theater 3000. I think I've watched all of them a good fifty times each. #FantasyIndiesNovember #comfortshows #indieauthor #amwriting
November 21, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Day 19, Writing Challenge: Believing in myself enough to believe I'll ever get to the point of publishing. I love the stories so much and feel like my writing doesn't do them justice. Even with actual published authors saying they want more after reading chapter 1. #FantasyIndiesNovember #amwriting
November 19, 2025 at 10:19 PM
Day 18, Favorite Characters I've created: Isolda, my FMC from my fantasy series. Shes just a badass and I love her. And the couple from my space romance. Chefs kiss if I do say so. Their relationship makes me cry I love them so much. #FantasyindiesNovember #indieauthor #characters #writing
November 18, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Day 16, plotter, pantser or plantser? I am definitely a plotter. The idea comes to me through the characters and I write the scene snippets they give me, and then I when I have a few, I can usually get the feel for the trajectory and build it over a few days. #FantasyIndiesNovember #plotter #writer
November 16, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Day 13, Where do you write? It depends on whos around, but usually I create a little cocoon on the love seat, surround myself with blankets and pillows and write there, otherwise I write at my partners gaming desk while he's at work #FantasyIndiesNovember #indieauthor #amwriting #writingcommunity
November 13, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Day 11, What genres do you read & write? I read a lot of historical fiction and non-fiction, fantasy & self improvement books. I write mostly fantasy, but also have a sci fi romance and a contemporary romance being crafted in the background. #FantasyIndiesNovember #WIP #writingcommunity #indieauthor

Day 7, What helps me relax: Painting or doing anything crafty! I love using gouache and doing mixed media... reading or playing video games or watching documentaries. #FantasyIndiesNovember #indieauthor #writer #relax
November 7, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Day 6, Helpful Writing Tools: I depend on Obsidian for my story atlas. It is a life saver for keeping things organized. I write with Scrivener, and despite having it for three years, I'm still learning helpful things about it! #FantasyIndiesNovemeber #WIP #indieauthor #writingcommunity
November 6, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Day 5, Last, current, & next reads: Last book was Crowned Cousins, current is Eye of the Wolf (Lords of Alekka Book 1) and next will be Book 2, Mark of the Hunter. #FantasyIndiesNovember #indieauthor #currentreads
November 5, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Day 4, Inspiring Authors: I actually read more Historical non-fiction than anything, so I feel Dan Jones is inspiring in the way he can really hook you in. As far as fiction, I'm inspired by Sharon Kay Penmen to step out of my usual genre to write in a different genre. #FantasyIndiesNovember #WIP
November 4, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Day 21- Scary movie/tv show recs: I'm actually a little scaredy cat and I don't watch horror movies. I have watched Kill Count though so I know what happens and feel 'in the know'. 🥸 #FantasyIndiesSpooktober #WIP #indieauthor #scaredycat #writingcommunity
October 21, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Day 20: Morally grey character: I think the closest there is to a morally grey character would have to be Tobias, a Wavesworn working in the palace at Eddal. Is he supportive of Alphaeus? Or do he have his own plans? #FantasyIndiesSpooktober #WIP #indieauthor #writingcommunity #amwriting
October 20, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Day 19: Scary moment in WIP: Isolda's first experience with Alphaeus' strange corruptive power is frightening in more ways than one... #FantasyIndiesSpooktober #indieauthor #WIP #writingcommunity #amwriting
